The racecourse of Ajax Downs is situated in the town of Ajax in Ontario, on the outskirts of Toronto. It has been a centre for quarter horse racing since the mid-1970s and was nicknamed the old ‘J-Track’. In the early days it was called Picov Downs, but in 2006 facilities were upgraded, a full 6 furlong oval racetrack developed, and slot machine facilities extended.
